Deloitte Technology Fast 50 Africa Programme – In Full Swing

Technology has become the the primary driver of change and innovation in business around the world, but nowhere is this more important than in our very own African continent.

Acknowledging this is drive of technological innovation is professional services firm Deloitte whom in partnership with SAP, Dell, Investec, Endeavor and SEDA has launched the Deloitte Technology Fast50 Africa Programme.

The primary reason this programme exists is to help promote the true technological genius that exists in Africa and the sheer determination of the SME sector who toil away on a daily basis and against the odds ensure the huge successes of their organisations.

Catherine Townshend, Managing Director of Endeavor SA has this to say of the Fast 50,

Do you Qualify?

In order to qualify companies must be African run and be able to demonstrate that African citizens hold controlling interests in their businesses. In order to make the programme as inclusive as possible qualifying criteria is based on domicile and operating revenues.

To enter, companies must have base year operating revenues of at least US $7o 000 and current year operating revenues of at least US $500 000. The companies must also be able to prove that their headquarters are based on the continent. As sustainability is vital, all entrants must have been in operation for a minimum three to five years when entering the competition.
